Raise Foundation is a registered Australian charity which provides mentoring programs for young people in high schools and in the community. Their mentoring programs provide a community of support around young people. Mentoring from a positive role model during the critical teenage years provides a nurturing pathway for young people to feel supported. Their Bump mentoring program is for young pregnant and parenting girls aged between 13 and 23, and it is a fun way for the girls to meet other young mums, as well as have some much needed “me” time. Bump includes weekly mentoring and workshops with an experienced mum as a mentor during terms 2 and 3 of the school year.

Raise Foundation are currently exploring options for the expansion of the Bump program locally in 2019/2020. We are welcoming expressions of interest from community services who would be interested in working collaboratively with Raise to continue to provide support to the young women in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie regions.
