Join Newcastle Library for two films that explore the challenges of love. Rafiki is a Kenyan film inspired by the short story ‘Jambula Tree’ by Monica Arac de Nyeko, and is the story of friendship and tender love that grows between two young women, Kena and Ziki, amidst family and political pressures.

Quiet Signs of Love is a short film about two young people — one deaf and the other hearing — and a love that transcends their differences.
