Expression of Interest to Present

RYDON is seeking expressions of interest for plenary presentations and workshops at the 2010 RYDON Conference.

The Conference theme is “Tips and Tools for Youth Workers”.

• 60- minute plenary: This category has been designed for a 60-minute session presenting to the whole conference [up to 150 attendees]. The 60 minutes presentation time will include Question and Answer time.

• 60- minute workshop: This category has been designed for a 60-minute session with a small group [20 – 40 participants]. It can consist of facilitated discussion, group participation and participants will leave with new knowledge and skills.

Examples of presentations could be about a current innovative project or program that successfully engaged young people through creativity, or current research on local youth issues, or innovative practices in community development etc.

All presenters are encouraged to ensure presentation is engaging, and utilises a variety of presentation styles and equipment.   Co-presentations with young people &/or colleagues are welcomed, as is interaction with the audience.

-          Description of Presentation (Two sentences max)

-          Abstract (250 words max)

-          Equipment needed:  ie powerpoint presentation, screen, projector, laptop, overhead, whiteboard, paper, pens, DVD player etc.
